eSpokes Presents Tomorrow at 7th Annual Utah Bike Summit

Once a year the state of Utah gathers for the Utah Bike Summit. Here, citizens, riders, bicycle advocates, government officials, tourism and health representatives, and Utah’s bike brands gather to discuss, plan, and promote efforts to make Utah the most bike-friendly state in the country.

Tomorrow, the 7th Annual gathering of The Summit, will take place at the Provo Library at Academy Square and is open to the public, regardless of where, how, and why you ride.

eSpokes is excited to present “Here to Stay: ebikes in Utah and How They Increase Ridereship”; during our afternoon breakout session. We will discuss ebike trends, technology, and the future of bikes in Utah.

eBikes are a favorite of this year’s keynote speaker is Gary Fisher, Founding Father of the Mountain Bike. Gary is a dedicated bicycle advocate and responsible for laying the early foundations for mountain biking. He is credited with developing some of the greatest innovations, including drum brakes, triple chainrings, motorcycle-style brake levers and 29 inch wheels. Gary is a longtime bicycle advocate and works to inspire people to get out and ride.

Of ebikes Gary has said, “I’ve seen people come away from riding an e-bike in an absolutely joyous state-that’s what the world needs more of! We can’t just listen to the critic, many of whom have never even ridden one. I’ve witnessed the decades-long period of happiness that the mountain bike created, and that can happen again for many people with e-bikes!”–Interbike 2014
