Thanksgiving bike Riding in California

I can’t believe that this time last week we were enjoying leftovers from Thanksgiving.  In an instant we are in the middle of the holiday rush.  During these busy days, I like to reflect on quieter days.

Last week we had a great time loading up the kids and the bikes and driving to Southern California.  We visited family, enjoyed good food, and had a blast riding the sunny trails. California did not disappoint.

Transporting bikes for our family of six is no easy task.  Every effort, however, was worth it when we all hit the Aliso & Wood Canyons Wilderness Park trail. It was beautiful!  It was the perfect combination of California sun and Fall weather.

Top of the World

Earlier in the week my oldest son, Ethan, and I rode towards Top of the World in Laguna Beach and enjoyed the beautiful beach views.

On this day, we rode their Raleigh hardtail and Lappier full-suspension mountain bikes on the trails whenever possible.  My wife, Meegan, rode a Pedego Cruiser with our youngest, Oliver, in a Yepp baby seat, while our 8 year-old, Jacob, rode his new Torker.  Our 10 year-old daughter, Nataleigh, was a trooper on her cruiser while she waits for her new mountain bike.

The trip was a perfect way to celebrate all those things for which we are thankful.  Speaking of thanks, did you see our Flipagram on Instagram?  It celebrates what we are truly thankful for—our wonderful eSpokes family.

Tell us about your Thanksgiving ride or send pictures to Megan at eSpokes dot come and we’ll post your pictures to our Facebook page.

Happy riding!
